I’m Nicoletta Benella, a freelance illustrator and creative designer based in Auckland, New Zealand.
My artistic journey began in a quaint Medieval town in Northern-East Italy, where I immersed myself in art and explored the wonders of nature.
After earning a degree in Visual Arts from the University of Architecture of Venice (IUAV) and gaining a diverse background in photography, printmaking, and graphic design, I developed my skills as a creative designer.
My career took off at United Colors of Benetton, where I crafted seasonal window displays for stores across the globe.
In 2015, I embarked on an incredible adventure with my family and moved to New Zealand. Since then, I’ve focused on illustration and furthered my studies at the Ars in Fabula academy in Macerata, learning from some of Italy’s most talented illustrators.
Now, I’m happily freelancing from the Hibiscus Coast, collaborating with amazing clients worldwide, assisting them with marketing projects and bringing picture book ideas to life.
